When this was run as a bar a few years ago it was great inside. Walked past there last week when in PP and as always thought what a great trendy wine bar it would make.
Just such a good position and layout inside.

Fingers crossed it will remain as a bar !!!

If I won the lottery I'd turn it into one myself !!!

Yes, great position and surprised it closed. Good place for a coffee while waiting for a bus.

I'm out in PP from the 18th May so please keep us updated on the progress of this place.

I'm mystified now !!!

P.S. - I was never in with a starting chance of buying the place as I've yet to win the lottery !!!

Well it has revealed itself. It is to be a sports bar and beer house, selling Beer,Wine,Coffee.
Must say it does look like a pub.

Not sure I am too keen on the idea of a "pub" in this location

It is right in the centre and where lots of people need to pass to get to and from wherever they are going for the day / evening

It is also right where newcomers to PP arrive in busses and taxis .......... imagine arriving one evening for the first time and being faced with a group of drinkers spilling out of a pub onto the pavement ....... I for one would be concerned and start to wonder if PP was really different or just another spanish resort

That central area has always been for families , for getting an ice cream, for watching the street entertainers ( where did they go by the way ? ) etc

I just don't fancy the idea of a pub/bar there, especially in the summer when it is warm and full and people spill out onto the street

We had a similar issue in our "village" ( its a suburb really but people like to say the "village" ) ........... what was once a restaurant was turned into a Bar and people started spilling out onto the pavement and before you knew it a nice summer evening stroll with the family turned into a "negotiation" through the drinkers ........... lost their licence eventually and its a Costa Coffee now

Anyway back to that corner ............. if one "pub" appears, others could follow and before you know it the character of the central area has changed

Or am I being too alarmist ?
