Default clubs

you probably know this already if you visit regularly, but places like Club pollenca club cultural and the PP sailing club are not members only, everyones welcome. Often the prices for drinks and food are cheaper than resort. The sailing club is in an incrediblr position and Club pollenca is a really interesting old mallorcan building. Its just opened a restaurant on the ist floor and the food and setting are excellent

Hi Ray

Re the sailing club, we have always wondered if you can use their pool if you eat and drink in their restaurant. A lovely setting but never seen many people in the pool.

Hi Ray,

Is it possible to just have a drink on the terrace at the sailing club or is it all food in the evenings? It would be a lovely place to have a drink early evening i.e. 7.00 ish but always unsure if you would be expected to eat.

Regards,

Car

Car 77, you can just have a drink.

Whaley, someone told me that the pool is exclusively for the members, seems such a shame but i have never seen anyone use it either .

Sorry, I didn't realise they were the same place. I've just been looking at the sattelite version of the location map, and I always wondered who that crescent shaped pool belonged to. Now I know

Generally these places can have a 'closed door' feel to them. It's good to know they welcome non members.

The sailing club is excellent, always made welcome, every year Ola your back!!
Such a nice non tourist place, nice change.
It is open to all, and you are not expected to buy food, have a drink if you want and then move -we often do, in fact most nights - sadly due to a recent stroke not this year - oh can't wait for 2011.
PS meals are a little dearer, but silver service or if you wish outside on the terrace or even burger and chips off the bar menu!

Default Club Nautico Pool

When we were at Club Nautica for lunch at end of March I took the baby up to the pool to dip in toes - bit too cool for anymore than that 1 - I asked if when we came back in summer for lunch could we use the pool and were told we were more than welcome too. I love Club Nautica for lunch and dinner, fab location.

That sounds like a lovely afternoon out, lunch, followed by a dip and in such nice surroundings.
