Default New management at Nachos.

Called into Nachos yesterday lunchtime, 2 ladies are now running it, one does the cooking and the front of house is taken care of by Mercedes. Aparently they come from Seville and although they speak little english they are very welcoming. The place has been given a bit of a facelift and the horrible green decor has gone, in it's place are clean white walls with paper flowers pasted on to give a bit of colour, there are also lots of Beatles and 60's photos and a mural of an English street complete with old fashioned red phone box. Red and white gingham table cloths complete the fresh look.
As well as a good selection of fresh tapas, they do some Spanish dishes(average price €5), a vegetarian platter for €9 and the usual range of sandwiches and baggettes.
We only had a glass of wine each but were treated to 3 small tapas, on the house, first was a plate of rice, potato, chickpea and sausage stew, then fish croquettes and finally salt cod with pepper. So that was lunch taken care of and the bill was only €4 .

Used to love going in there when Sue from Whitley Bay owned it.She sold it on to an Argentianian who ran it for a couple of years.
