Hi Debz. Looks like it is what was Trencadora from the pics. Has this place been there long? Cant believe we've missed it. Looks right up our street. Is it under new ownership?

Blue, It was certainly there last Summer as Babel. We used to love the original Trencadora..beautiful setting in the courtyard and the food was fantasic. It was one of my favourite restaurants in Pollensa. It changed hands a few years back and the food when we went was dreadful... we never returned. I think, but cant say for definite, that its changed hands again since being renamed Babel

BaBel

Calle Ramon Llull, 9
Pollensa
Tel: 971 53 15 99

Pan-Mediterranean

Open:
Tuesday to Saturday from 19:00 until close (kitchen 19:30 - 00:00)
Sunday from 10:00 until 17:00 (kitchen open 10:00 - 16:00)
Closed Mondays.

BaBel Café Bar: an oasis of calm in Pollença Just moments from Pollença’s main square, BaBel provides an oasis of calm with al-fresco tables, water garden and spacious chill-out lounge. The resident Jazz collective plays every Thursday night and the weekend kicks off with special guest bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

BaBel entertains a cosmopolitan crowd which draws from the local as well as foreign community, blurring the boundaries between age and status. BaBel has rapidly become a social and cultural hub.

The menu features fresh pan-Mediterranean cooking, focusing on locally sourced, often organic produce, such as marinated sardines with tabouleh, oriental guinea fowl kebab and a selection of seasonal salads.

I do find it strange that they have no website of their own! Try this site, if it works, you can at least see some photos; You will have to use your zoom button though to enlarge them!!!
