Smile Pepes

Heading back to PP in August for the first time in 2 years, just checking to see if the kids favourite is still there or did Pepe manage to sell up? Slightly concerned re the Euro rate and prices in PP so pointers to the best value, quality venues gratefully received.

Can't comment on Pepes but my other half has just spent a weekend in PP and had a very good lunch at Brisa Marina on the seafront - huge salad, drink and coffee for 9E - which seems comparable with the UK. And of course there are lots of places doing Menu del Dia at lunchtime for around 10-12E - or even 8E. Brisa Marina, Ca'n Josep, El Posito and lots more. You really don't have to spend a fortune if you don't want to.

Pepe's been talking about selling since i first met him 20 years ago He was certainly there last season, and have no reason to doubt he will be open again this year, as you say he gives very good value, both at breakfast and evening.

Thanks for the info guys, I will keep looking at the forum once the season is underway to get a feel for prices, can't help feeling aggrieved that the Pound only buys 1.05 Euros but not the fault of the Spanish! Good to know that Pepe is still going strong.
