Default Mousetrap.

Maybe the first casualty of the season, The Mousetrap has closed down.
Lots of rumours of other places changing hands but as of yet these are unconfirmed, i will keep you informed of any developments.

Hi BL,
The Mousetrap was formerly the Bar Caramba.

Sad to hear that sparky but not surprised. We used to go in to use the internet on an almost daily basis and Charles used to do his best..but it was never going to be a great bar as it lacked any sort of atmosphere...and people!! We used to try and support him by ordering coffees or beers while we were there, but a lot of people came in and just used the internet which was never going to make much money as he charged next to nothing for the service.

Sad it's closing down, suppose it's very difficult to make it work when the bars are off the main road.

Think you're right Smiddy I would imagine the location had a lot to do with The Mousetraps demise

BL I'm sure you will be very friendly and welcoming as well...but get back on track now

We always used to use the internet in Pozo's and the Cultural Bar.

I didn't realise that the bar had changed it's name but we went there in 2008 (think that was the year that they took it over). They were really friendly and welcoming the first time we went in but the next time we were made to feel so uncomfortable so we never went again.

Maybe we caught them on an 'off night' but we just figured that we were only there for two weeks and there were other places that were more friendly.

I have just seen this thread and must say I am not surprised. I never felt that comfortable in here and got told off once by the Scandinavian owner for having the temerity to plug in my own headphones to use Skype - I am a bit OCD about using headphones that other people have used! It is true that the prices were very reasonable but I could never relax in here.

This should maybe go on the internet thread but I read on another forum that the council are providing free wi-fi in the square - does anyone know if there is any truth in this? Perhaps an up-to-date guide to wi-fi could be started?
