Default First night restaurant

Where do you like to eat for your first night in PP? Ours used to be the Montenegro which is sadly no more. OH always picks Manducca for the jambalaya or ranchero pizza. My pick has to be El Posito. Sadly OH always wins!!

Good one!
Winter time was always Centric - no need to change or re-apply makeup after a late arrival, and lovely home cooked food and good house wine. Have no idea where it will if Centric has closed now.
Summer time - anywhere thats free along by the sand castles or Tangos if its not over booked!

If the weather is fine then it has to be Stay or La Llonja - for the views as much as the food. Or if we arrive in time for lunch the terrace at the Yacht Club is pretty good. Last year we arrived in a rainstorm and headed to the old Piccolo Forno for some comfort food - plates of lovely fresh pasta - am looking forward to trying Piccolo Forno MkII should it be wet this year!

After a long days travelling I wouldn't select a favourite or special venue I'd opt for comfort food. Last year opted for Ca'n Josep. Liked it so much we went back later in holiday.

Always arrive at the apt.about 9 in the evening (dont do stupid oclock flights) so usually book a table at Stay before we fly out. Now come to realise that its better to be closer to the apt. on the 1st night as we seem to hit power chilled mode once we sit down to dine, and the wine seems to flow a little too easy. Added to a few inflight liveners, the saunter home is best kept short as poss.Los Zarzalez was the choice last time think this year it will be Tolos. Nice and relaxed and literally a stagger round the corner.

For us it is normally C'an Ferrar - don't forget to ask for tapas to start as they are not on the menu. You usually get Frito, meatballs, spinach croquettes and something else.

It has become something of a family tradition to start and finish our PP holidays at Brisa Marina - it has always been one of our favourite places and stunning value too.

When all six of us go I usually ring from the airport to book, the first chance to roll out the Spanish. The fact that they usually recognise my voice probably has more to do with the distinctive linguistic shortcomings than anything else!

Hmmm...........this is a difficult one. Will be only our second visit this year and we know the place whereas we didn't last year. Do you save the best for last, second best for first if you get my drift.

Nowhere too posh as you are often tired and dishevelled from the journey, but obviously you want to get the "flavour" of the holiday as soon as possible. Don't want to splash out too much on the first night, either. That first cold one always goes down an absolute treat, too. Actually, Brisa Marina sounds like good shout to me, or a lovely paella at C'an Ferrer maybe.

Hi,
We always have our "first night " meal in Tolos as we just have to wander a couple of hundred yards to its door and we strangely always sit at the same table too. Quite often we have our second night meal there aswell , our 8 year old is a huge fan .

We always stay in or near Pollensa town so we head off to Clivia for a paella.
