Default Whats Happened to Katys Bar on Pine Walks

It was sad to hear that Katy died as she was such a lovely and kind lady. My family and I had many great times in her company and she even came to visit us twice over in Sa Coma.
Does anybody know if her bar/rstaurant has been sold and whats happened to Fernando.

The bar has been inherited by a distant family member and it's not been decided what will happen yet as to re-opening.

Default Katy's Bar

There have been so many stories about Katy's Bar since she sadly passed away. Certainly, at one stage, it seemed that the doctor who looked after her in Inca Hospital might have inherited most of her 'estate'. Apparently, a will was drafted during the last couple of days of her life. This has now been discounted from what I have heard.

It now appears that her previous wish to leave the place to the 'Nuns' so that it could provide a comfortable place for older folk is the line that is being followed. However, through various further discussions, the place may have ended up under the control of the 'Ayuntamiento'. All may not be lost though as they already lease out various bars/restaurants in PP and the surrounding area.
Whatever happens, it won't be the same - there was only one Katy and what a kind & spirited lady she was.

I know someone who was left land in Katy's will and he was there at the reading. It's definitely not gone to the doctor or the nuns. She left everything to her sister, who is also deceased, and that's when things became complicated.

Any news on the grapevine about "Katy's Bar on Pine Walk ?
We are out early May meandering up and down our favourite coastal path.
Thanks -

We noticed some building activity there when we were out a couple of weeks ago but no hints as to what purpose. We got the impression that it was being refurbished as a house or perhaps apartments, but we could be wrong.

Looks like a bit of activity upstairs (not sure whether this was part of Katy's or not) but the front is looking very sad and abandoned with no activity at all.

Hi Folks,
Anyone got an update on the state of Kate's bar since June 2010?

Default Katy's Bar

Still no new news about Katy's Bar/Restaurant. Neighbours & friends of Katy say that there are still legal difficulties between the Nuns and the Council and until those are resolved, not much is likely to happen.

Katy's ground floor Pine Walk apartment was inherited by some lovely relatives who live in Palma - and they also inherited the two top floor apartments over the top of Katy's Bar.

The apartment above the Pine Walk apartment went to the doctor who treated Katy in her last days and the apartment above the bar/restaurant went to his brother. All of these apartments are now rented out by VillaParade.
