Default 7 night itinerary!

hi

we are heading back to Puerto Pollensa for another week and are very excited. we love to read all the reviews of the knowledgeable people on this site and would love for you to put together a weeks itinerary for evening meals.

We have really liked llonja and stay before, and are likely to go back. we really like tapas and dont really have to worry about a budget (luckily!) so would really like for some suggestions for a weeks food!

We like tapas, traditional mallorquin/spanish food - but anything good would be great and we don't mind travelling as we dont really drink, its all about the food - views and the wonderful experience of Mallorca!.

Hope someone joins in and lets us have an idea...and maybe i can review the selected itinerary when we come back!!

Thanks a lot
Xani

This October we are going to try La Terrassa in Alcanada (near Alcudia) - we have never been before but it has had some really good reviews. Fabulous views - maybe best to go at lunchtime to appreciate those - and food described as 'modern Mallorcan'. I think it's attached to a golf club and sounds quite a special place.

I've always enjoyed the traditional Mallorcan food at La Victoria although I note that several people on this forum have found the service to be 'surly' this year - that wasn't our experience, I have to say, and the views are to die for.

If you wanted to go to the old town we had a great meal back in April at Taverna del Temple. Very atmospheric old building and a lovely courtyard garden.

We too love La Llonja!

A word of warning. La Terrazza is wonderful on a summer day to take lunch on the outside terrace over looking the bay, but I'm not sure if it is even open now the change of season has arrived. The restaurant itself - which is obviously inside and more of a formal atmosphere - may well be though, I would suggest checking first. Also, it isn't actually connected to a golf course, the course is a short drive up along the coastal road a little way.
This change over time does result in a number of restaurants that you assume are open all year actually being closed when you just turn up!

Thanks for this info Belladonna - we have indeed been caught out a couple of times in the past, having driven some distance - will certainly check before we set off!

Bella's right Xani but the people that run La Terazza have the concession for the restaurant at the golf club. So if the restaurant is closed, the restaurant on the terrace at the Golf Club is open all year and it's great on a lovely day. MDD at about 19.90 euros but it is a golf club and they will frown on jeans and vests !!!!. Well worth the drive though cos the views are nice. They filmed the NAT WEST ad there a couple of years ago.

We live about 5 minutes walk away from La Terrazza. It is in a beautiful setting, but for us the food is mediocre and overpriced. If budget is not a problem then Jardin or D'Arca (both in Alcudia) would be the top of our list. See our comments under "fine dining" in the Alcudia section. The Alcanada golf club is run by the same person, but the menu is more geared to golfers. Big burgers though!

Thanks everyone, as is only to be expected work has realised that I am going on holiday - and wants to make up some deadlines for me!!!

I'm undecided about Terrazza, but we'll see....

Are there any Michelin places away from Palma?
