After all the years that we ve had an apartment in llenaire we ve never stopped at this bar on the way into town. usually we stop at the Uyal or Pollentia but this week we popped in for a drink and could nt believe that a small beer glass of wine and soft drink were only 1 euro 40 each !! It may not have been the best wine in the world but I ve certainly had worse at a higher price ! Will certainly pop in more often now !

This bar/ restaurant has always given fantastic value for money. The service can be slow but it is very friendly.

I'll agree that sometimes the service can be slow but then, that's Spain for you! We have always gone in since the first time that we stayed in the Romantic next door and that's a few years back. One of the highlights of our holidays are the Sunday afternoon jazz sesions and, as far as we can see, the prices do not vary depending if you're a tourist or local.

I agree service is rather slow..went there for the first time in April...sat for nearly 10 mins and as we got up to go someone finally came over to us ..went to go back there with friends in July but it seemed what ever night we went it was "Jazz Night"...does anyone know if this is a daily thing now or what....I appreciate a lot of people do like it but its not everyones taste.
would like to try it again in October..

Hi Cath.
We go regularly in early October and the lunch time jazz is normally on a Sunday and a guy plays the Sax on one evening, which I seem to recall is a Wednesday.

I love listening to sax, is it a regular on Wed evenings? We're out Sept/Oct hope it will be still on then.

Went to the Ancla for lunch today, and told 'the young girl from Seville' (her name is Marie by the way) what you had said about her - she was really touched!

Apart from the odd Sunday when they are inundated with people wanting paella, it's been a good few years since the service has been REALLY slow. Marie and José are both pretty efficient.

hi Lilliana

I m so pleased you told Marie that her service is good, too often people complain so its nice for them to get good feedback . We really like it there and found the service great, its a lovely stop off point whilst walking into town.
Thanks !
