Wink The place that used to be Balaixa

There may already be posts about this, so please direct me. I was wondering if anyone had been there since it changed hands.
What's it like? How does it compare?
If no one has been, I'm prepared to give it a go and send an expenses chit to "Pollensa" and report back

There was a post and I don't think the poster was that impressed. I will look out the message and post a link.

Thanks guys. For us Balaixa was a wonderful place. Probably wouldn't go to it now as I'm sure it would spoil the memories, a bit like some of the posts re Ca'n Costa

hmm, doesn't sound too good does it. Shame.
The only thing I would say about "rats" is that it is a country restaurant and by definition, one might see some local fauna.
However, it's unlikely we will go. You can save your expenses pollensa!!

Trouble is Balaixa got shafted by the supermarket relocation. Their location became a nightmare and although it looked like there was no way back from that, they obviously found a buyer - glad they are still trading at CSV. Next time I'm out I'll give the CSV place a try.

Very true. I couldn't believe it when we went to Eroski last year and parked our car overlooking the old Balaixa swimming pool...

Unhappy Ex Balaixa - Can Daniel

It's not good!

The food was poor. The service was poor and the place was in need of a clean!

Admittedly the new owners had a great act to follow, but they could try.

Cheers!

Frito

I've suddenly found a reason to be away from the island for the next twelve months!

Cheers!

Frito.
