Pizza
OK - where does the best pizza, where does the worst pizza, what is the strangest pizza and other pizza stories.
For me the best pizzas and the best range of pizzas has to be Manduca but for the best setting for a pizza has to be Little Italy GG :) |
My children love the pizzas in Ca N'Olesa in Pollensa town. They are very good. They also love the fresh pizzas from Eroski and I'm getting considerable grief at the moment from my two as we are not going to Mallorca this year and they will miss them!
There is also a small bakery just before you get to the roundabout in PP on the left hand side which does lovely cooked pizzas. Perfect for lunch back at the villa or on the apartment balcony! Jane:) |
Agree with Jane, Ca N'Olesa in Pollensa town, the best pizzas in the town, vast range and they even do them for me without cheese, I shall be enjoying one on Saturday. In the port also agree, manducas and centric as well

Piccolos
Piccolos in Pollensa Town do excellent pizzas made in traditional fired pizza ovens. The Pasta dishes and salads are excellent too combined with a very good atmosphere.

I'm a Little Italy gal! :D The pizza are delicious and too big for the plate! They now do pizza by the metre - just like in Naples! We watched a family work their way through a metre one lunch time - it took up two tables! They finished it - I dunno how - phew!
The Vora Mar supermarket does lovely slices of coca (which for those who don't know is flan with vegetables on top - a bit like pizza without cheese) Worst pizza ever was at La Pizza one year - it had a hard dried up base. We thought it was maybe a frozen base  The supermarket pizzas Jane mentions are good too - you can even do them on your BBQ grill. Jane - Lidl has something which looks very similar - packaging and everything. Maybe worth a try? Lala |
Yes Lala, we saw that long table pizza when we were there with Susie and her hubby. Luckily we took Susies advice and just ordered one ordinary one between two of us for a quickie lunch, it was lovely and fresh and very tasty, but one day Im going for the biggie!!
The other good pizza place is opposite the Santa Maria hill climb. I cant remember the name but its great to eat in or take away, someone remind me please!! |
Definitely Piccolo Forno in the old town. A great selection and really fresh ingredients.

Have to agree with Lala about the coca in the Voramar supermarket.
Last year we also used to get it in the little bakery next to where Mir supermarket used to be. Must admit to a great liking for the pizzas in Laroc, but pizzas are a matter of personal preference, what one will like another may not! |
:p

Apologies if this thread seems somewhat trivial :o - just seemed like a good idea resulting from another thread.
I like the Benedicta I think it is at Manduca with pork, bechemelle sauce and a fried egg on top GG |
