Default Just Got Back

Hi All

Returned from PP on Saturday after 1st visit. We had a wonderful time and found PP to be very friendly and relaxed, apart from our Hotel (Romantic) which required long trousers for dinner!!! There is so much to do we only skimmed the surface in the week we were there, Cala Boquor walk, Cala Sant Vicente walk, Pollensa old town and you need 2 weeks to discover all the side streets at least. There are so many places to eat and drink of a complete range to suit all tastes and budgets. We ate in Little Italy and the pizza was delicious although house wine was very expensive at 17 euros, Trio amazing value for money for good food and wine service very good but felt a bit rushed through the courses, but for those prices!!! Our favorite was Los Zarzales ate there 5 out of 7 evenings. Anyway PP was a delightful place and we will definately be back.

Glad you liked the port hystersister.......It truly is a 'magical place'......I totally agree it's a right pain to have to wear long trousers in the hotel restaurants......This tradition is pretty much the same across the board in hotels I think...... I would say you probably need about six months there to truly know most of the streets, which brings me on to my question.....As we do go to Trio quite often & absolutely love the place...where about's is Los Zarzales?.....As like yourselves, I'm sure my better half & myself would enjoy it there as well......

Any info would be more than welcome.......

Cheers...

Hello

Right I will try to explain walking from the pine walk with the sea to your left, so towards the Lenaire area. Pass Ca'n Joseph and Juice bar and Simbad's, after Simbad's turn 1st right as you walk up side street small english bar then Los Zarzales. I hope that makes sense.

Take care Jayne

Just to remind you in case you have forgotten or dont know - you can always check directions for restaurants in the A-Z of restaurants thread. Pretty much all of them have been sorted out now so do scroll through to check them.

Cool

Hey Folks,

Thanks very much for that info......Definately will try Los Zarzales hystersister, as if it's good enough to eat there 5 times in 7 evenings then it must be really good.......Don't know why we do it, but we near enough always eat in the evenings either around the Square/Just off of it, or the Pinewalk side of the Port........Must break that habit & explore the side streets a bit more......

Cheers once again.....

To reiterate what Belladonna has posted, we do have a thread on restaurant locations that Jane has spent a lot of time on at http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/...irections.html - please check this first. If any are missing do let us know thanks.

Do venture off the main areas, there are so many hidden gems to be found. Ok you don't get the views but as i always say " You can't eat the view "

Hystersister hi there!

Welcome to the Forum.

So pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit, as if there would have been any doubt.

Sparky's advice is excellent, you have to scratch the surface and get underneath, explore and you will find and enjoy!

Bet your looking forward already to your next visit!

Los Zarzales was good a couple of weeks ago. We had the menu del dia, although the waiter didn't seem keen to offer it at first. No sign of the advertised music, but PP was very quiet this year in May 1/2 term week, quietest since we have been going - 7 years - in fact.
Villa rather than hotel , and, for us , this will be the way to go in future. Just a shame that there wasn't a bit more atmosphere in the Port on the evenings that we ate out, and I hope that the general recession in Mallorca dosn't claim too many casualties this year.

A barman at Club Pollentia, our previous haunt, said occupancy was 50% down on last year, which itself was the quietest we had seen it.
