Hiya,

Is 'the Bistro' a new part of Corb Mari ( or have we just missed it) ?

The Bistro has outside tables on the end of Pine Walk, with a different menu
to the Corb Mari, the food is prepared in the Corb Mari kitchen..

Thanx for that, another 'new' place to try !
It never occured to me that it would be a different menu.Any chance the portions are a wee bit smaller ? I only managed one course and didnt seem to make a dent in it

We ate at the Bistro last week and the menu is smaller and portions slightly smaller than the main restaurant. The chips and rice came on your plate instead of separate dishes. Hubbie and I had the "Corb Mari Kebab" which was delicious and still pretty large! The 2 Kids had homemade burgers with a good portion of chips. Bottle of Rosada, one pint, 2 coffee and Brandies and 2 soft drinks and it came to 60 Euros. Much cheaper than eating in the main restaurant and not quite so stuffy. Kids had a great time playing on the beach. We will difinately return and would highly recommend it.

Actually I don't personally think the main restaurant is 'stuffy' - I agree that it can sometimes look a bit deserted, but business does seem to have picked up. The last couple of times we have eaten there other tables were occupied by a family celebrating a birthday (the restaurant had made them a cake with candles) and by several other quite jolly families (Mallorquin and British), all of whom had young and vocal children - it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It has fairly traditional Spanish decor which some might find on the gloomy side - all depends on taste. Still, nicer to eat outside if the weather permits, I guess!
