Default Xocolat

Hi

Not sure if the spelling of Xocolat is correct - this was the cute little chocolate/cake shop on the formentor road round the corner from Tango we used to love going in there the chocolates/cakes were to die for and the coffee was excellent. We were so dissapointed last year to see it had disappeared and was demolished along with tango. Does anyone have any information ? Has it been relocated somewhere else in the port ? Or is there a similar pastry/coffee shop ?
Would be grateful for any information.
Thanks

Hi Elaine - there is a nice little new coffee shop on the roundabout (used to be a clothes shop) which is run by the girl who was at the coffee shop on Calle Roger de Flor behind the square. Great for crepes as well.

Default Coffee Shop

I think the coffee shop Gommar Goffer is talking about is called Sandwich & Moments. We had a few coffee and cake stops there last year and it was nice. They also did some good sandwiches. You can also take away things if you want.

Default Xocolate

I agree this place is fantastic!! They will be back there when the building is finished in approximately two years! They have not relocated in the meantime. Shame, but good for the waist line!!

It is a shame Xocolat disappeared as it was a great coffee shop and patisserie. It is sorely missed. I am glad to her that it will be back in the same location as I assumed that the new block would be flats only.

Adios

Dave

PS At the rate the building works are progressing I think they may be back before then!

Just as an aside, if anyone needs to buy home made chocolates for a present or just indulgence!! there is an excellent shop opposite Restaurant La Parra just before the petrol station on Joan XIII.
