Default Quiet bar showing English football.

Can anyone recommend a bar that shows live premier league football but doesn't get too busy. I'll probably be with my young son so I'd rather avoid packed bars where you can't see the screen because people's heads are in the way and you're frightened to move for fear of someone threatening violence because you blocked their view for a millisecond. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Monty, i don't think any bars are quiet for the big matches but most screens are fairly high up so unless you are a giant with a huge head you won't block the screen.

To be honest I cant think of anywhere in PP like you describe, but I would go to JK's where they have lots of TV's as well as a big screen or maybe try Bonys new TV area inside.

Joker - which is more of a snack bar than a bar bar now has a tv and shows premiership matches

great for watching early matches , however, if it is a night match and starts at 9pm you are encroaching upon their "meal" tables and so would probably need to eat to watch

I think the most "civilised" place I've watched football is in the Hotel Daina. Not too busy, comfy seats, and reasonably priced refreshments.

Don't know where in PP you will be located Monty but if you are anywhere near the Pollensa Park / Gotmar end then bar Bon Dia would be ideal.

As other posters have mentioned JK's is OK too.It can get busy sometimes depending on the game or time of year but most of the time its comfortable. It also has a pool table in case your son gets a bit bored.

The Hunter is nice, friendly and quieter than many bars for the football. To be found jusst behind the church, close to post office, infront of Bressol Apartments. Cheers.

I may be wrong but I think this thread relates to European football??
A shure fire way to get a quiet bar is to wear a Mexican logo tee shirt and just cough and sneeze a lot .

would do it for me.

jimbo

p.s. The bars etc. in PP are the best in the world for watching any sports!

If you are in the Gommar area the White Rose (Rosa Blanca) has big screens for footy - the drop down type I think. Not sure how busy it gets as I do not do the footy thing!
