Default La Fortalesa

Does anyone know what's happening to La Fortalesa?. There was some talk on the Board a few months back that it might not be with us this year, and I have not seen any mention of it during the recent posts on some of our favourite haunts, which are starting to open for the season.

If that is the case, it will be sadly missed, as it has undoubtedly been one of the better authentic Mallorquin establishments in the Port, and personally, I do not see too many new restaurants that have set up in the past few years, offering the same type of fare.

Somehow, I just can't see Martin and Pauline doing Tex-Mex!.

This is or was one of my favourite restaurants, but word has it Martin has retired and it will not open this year.

Great shame as we always enjoyed the food and service here.

la fortelesa has opened again, and I'm pretty sure it's the same owners(the great menu certainly is) On the negative side just saw some Chinese workmen in the old codfather restaurant near the square- surely not another Chginese restaurant!

OMG - I hope you're not right! I've lost count of the number of our fave restaurants being turned into chinese/indian/theme pubs over the years - or being moved 'miles' out of town!

We went to La Fortelesa a couple of days ago and Martin and Pauline are still running it. They told us they were going to retire this year but decided they would keep going for another season at least
