Default CaŽn Costa ?

Whats happened at CaŽn Costa, walked past the other week at the market and noticed that there was a for rent sign in the window box.

Does anybody know whats going on, I know that they opened a new restaurant in Sa Pobla, but I hope this isnŽt the sign of the credit crunch taking effect at probably the best restaurant in the area ....

Please anybody with info please post ....

IŽve sent my spies out and ears to the ground

Perhap's it's a good thing Jane can't make it this year... as I have heard that Ca'n Costa has closed but that the one in Sa Pobla is staying.

Yes, I heard the same a while back - it will be sorely missed and I just hope that someone will take over and make a real success of it. If I win the lottery, watch this space!!!

Unhappy

That is absolutely devestating news!! Where will Debs and I have our fantastic family reunions now!! Seriously though, I am sure this will be quickly snapped up and carried on hopefully in the same way, as the cinema history and the building itself cannot surely be changed too much. Fingers crossed! I thought I'd already posted that Ca'n Costa was up for sale but looking back I can't find anything so must have imagined it!

We had a fantastic lunch on their last day of opening while we were over for La Fira. I believe from what Tolo, the lovely Maitre di, told me is that Will wants to concentrate on Mr Green in Sa Pobla.

My favourite Lala so I'm gutted as well

O Lume Bella?!

Thumbs up

Ah, but all done in the best possible taste Snows! LOL!
I think this is all to be treated as a challenge. There have been some new posts on restaurants a little further afield sneaking in, so I think as long as we all still stay in the PP surrounds and use our living money there, we are still ok for the PP forum, but we could now be PP explorers!
Life would not be the same without Bonys - I agree - what else could create such a wonderful reposte between us all!
Personally, I think we will start up our driving further afield again to look for the slightly more rustic restaurants, but its good to know we can pop local for an easy evening.
Yes, its all changing far more rapidly than we all thought or indeed hoped, but until we lose that sense of forgetting about work and arguments whilst walking or driving in open spaces so close by, we shall still make the effort to look outside of the box!
