Hubby and i had a great meal in Ikebana this weekend. A couple of pre-dinner drinks each, bread, olives, alioli and salad. Then hubby had shoulder of lamb which just fell off the bone and i had a fabulous fillet steak served with fresh vegetables, the presentation was really good, a bottle of Faustino V blanco, coffees, brandy and then more drinks for us and 4 friends who popped in. The bill €70 and that included the tip. Excellent value for money.

Hi Sparky

Excellent value indeed! And your meal sounds wonderful, as does the Valentine's Day dinner. I've never eaten in Ikebana but from your excellent reports it certainly sounds like one we will be trying this year. Just wish we didn't have to wait until July.

I really enjoy your posts. Thanks for keeping us all updated.

Linda

You are very welcome Linda, do try Ikebana i don't think you will be disappointed and in the summer it's great to sit out in the lovely garden. Maybe see you there one day. Lyn.

LOL Whaley, i am trying to convince myself that as long as i eat loads of fruit during the day and just have the occasional blow out (maybe twice a week) things won't get too bad

The Valentine's Dinner was a great success, every table was taken. Everyone said that the food was excellent, hubby had the fish soup starter and there were lots of prawns, mussels and of course fish in it, i had the goats cheese salad and it was delicious i could easily have that as a main course and the beef was so tender and tasty as always at the Ikebana everything was beautifully presented. The music was great Chris played acoustic guitar and he has a good voice.
Thank-you Jose and Ana Cati we had a fabulous evening.
