Default Cheap & Cheerful (In Jan/Feb)!

Hi All,

I will be in PP on Saturday for 3 days with 5 friends, given the the current £ against Euro is nearly 1 for 1 can anyone recomend any Bars and or Restuarants which are ok, wont break the budget and will be open?

Or also any bars that might be a bit lively this time of year?

Many Thanks x

There has been lots of talk on this, but basically go for Menu Del Dia for good, well priced meals and wine.Centric just off of the square is a very safe bet. I cant comment on bars, but Bar Cultural in the square appears to be the best price around.

Also Ca N'Andreu Restaurant which is to the left of the church on the main square offers a brilliant value 'menu del dia' for 9 euros. 3 courses with wine, water & gaseosa and bread and olives. It was bustling with local tradesmen and local people when I went there last week for late lunch. The food was excellent as was the service.
It was so good we went back the next day as well!

Thanks all for your suggestions, I will def try the Ca N'Andreu if its open, as now you mention it I remember the place and menu looked good last time I was there back in September but we didnt get round to going.

I cant complain too much as a least our flights were only a tenner each and the hire car was half the price of anywhere else booking with doyouspain.com, Id probably spend three time as much for 3 days/nights out in London and PP's got a few degrees plus on the UK weather hopefully!

Hi

Thanks for the doyouspain tip - I've been trawling the car hire sites and the prices are just escalating! Just sent for a quote which looks v reasonable!
