Default Shut that door !!!!

Any of you guys remember Larry Grayson ( or come to mention it , his friend Everhard ) ???Kept thinking about this cos had lunch today at Ca n' Andreu. I know this place got mixed reviews last year but as it's packed every lunchtime ( 9 Euros per head for menu del dia) and 15 euros on a Sunday , it really is great value in the Port. So,in we breeze to a packed restaurant and parked at a window table looking out over the sun drenched church ( weather dramatically improved over the last 24 hours). I know it will never be fine dining, but as I said last year you can't beat it for honest home Mallorquian cooking. Place absolutely heaving, in fact many turned away at 2 p.m. Choice of soup, mussels or paella for starters followed by suckling pig, lamb or sea bass. Puds creme caramel. brulee or cake.Secret is to eat what you can and just leave what you can't manage. However, the price of a great table is that I've got me back to the door and as Bonyladette can't stand draughts , I'm up and down like a Fiddlers elbow!!!" Shut that door " she cries every two or three minutes. Was going to use the synonym of the undergarments of a girl with loose morals but probably get meself banned by Pollensa, but I'm sure you get the picture.Kids in and out, grandmothers taking little babies out for aome air. I go out to smoke ( note Belladonna and GPM !!! ) . It's a wondreful scene and what family eating is all about.* Can't recommend the place highly enough if you are watching the euros cos it's great value.Wander off home and slump over the Sunday papers, settle BLT down, then on to JK's for the footy. Real Madrid in town today but 145 euros per seat !!.Would only pay this if Watford FC were in the final of the Champions League.( before you post any of you, it ain't ever, ever gonna happen !!! ). Great sports bar. This is pure theatre, the " Blues" versus the "Reds". Who cares if they wrap their £200k Ferraries around tunnel walls ???. Great, great entertainment and theatre. As a neutral a wonderful specatcle."Shut that door !!! " cries big Phil. But alas it's too late !!!BonysLad

Jane,

Ooooooooooooo eerrrrrr.

I could crush a grape !!!!!

Seriously, promise I'll make me next posting a little more coherent.

Should be a few of us meeting up this weekend. Debs/Belladonna/Golfaholics etc at San Antoni. We'll raise a glass to the success of the Forum and absent friends.

Take care

BonysLad
