Was talking to Jose last night. He is busy building a bar at the side of Bony,s
across from Tex Mex where you will be able to stand at the bar and have a drink. He is also putting high tables with stools at this area. Should be interesting next summer! GPM

snowy mate, i'm sure you and others are very fond of this establishment (good for you finding a place you are comfortable in and feel at home with) and i really dont want to be controversial on here but at 5 euros a beer i'd be looking for a bit more than a broad smile and a brisk handshake

There are few places in PP that polarise opinion like Bony's! What a diverse lot we are......and all the better for it!

I 'm one of those who can see the appeal of the place, I've been there a few times and for sure Jose is a character, but it's just not my natural habitat.

gers1873 I agree with watching the soaps on t.v , we are on holiday but I don't mind the odd important football match. Its a nice atmosphere then .

yveee, Jose has been told not to throw sweets as the neighbours have now got together regarding the noise and reported him to the police.I was told there was 6 reports against him last summer. To be honest, I wouldn,t like to try and sleep above him when he goes off in one. gpm

I wouldn't want to sleep above or below him!!! Perish the thought

Think the sweet throwing is a fairly cheap money making gambit to get kids whingeing to go back, night after night...and therefore drawing the adults in to buy more drinks. Don't most parents teach their children not to accept sweets from strangers ? That is after all what he is ... that and a very canny business man

I, for one, am glad the sweet throwing will stop. With the dirt on the footpaths I never thought it was the most hygienic of activities! I know they are wrapped but I never liked it!

Nail, hammer and head Debz1 but you do know the can of worms you are opening here dont you?

On this MB you can criticise the local mayor, local council, cleanliness of the beach etc. but dont you dare criticise simple old Jose with his clothes pegs and sweets trick. Authentic Mallorca at its finest!

On All saints day he was out in force in the square with all the hob goblins - sorry - children, causing wonderful mahem! We chose not to eat around the square as not only was it full of broken sweets, but also looking very much like scrambled egg everywhere! Obviously it was part of the fun to at some point, throw eggs everywhere, which then meant they had to be washed away! Cant blame Jose for ALL of that obviously! Ate at Centric that night where we could see the fun out of the door, but werent at risk from flying food!!
