Ah, but not everyone is on holiday. That is why there are restaurants and cafes to cater for all tastes. People of all nationalities live and work here all year and they like to eat out occasionally too.

Indeed. Fortunately my children are now getting beyond that stage. But I well remember that there was nothing like a good chippy for such moments. Unfortunately The Codfather is nothing like a good chippy.

Default The Codfather

I am sorry some of you have been disappointed with your meals at the Codfather. I have worked there for over five years and it is so difficult to please all of people all of the time, you can serve identical meals to two tables, one table will sing the praises and say it is the best Fish & Chips they have ever had the other will turn there noses up.

The Codfather has been a huge success for over 11 years and so many of the customers come back year after year and we have many who travel up especially from the south of the Island.

No restaurant can please all of the people all of the time, but I just wanted to put the balance right because I know many, many people do enjoy the traditionally cooked fish & chips at the Codfather.

Default Cod Father on The Move

I have to say that I have never had a bad meal at the Codfather and we have eaten in and also had takeaways and the food has always been really good.

I know it is not to everyone's taste, but I do feel like I have to come to its defence!!

I love to try all the local food, but do like the odd fish and chip lunch

Well that's fair enough suemo and pollensaman, everywhere has its good and bad days. But I've had nothing but poor experiences from Codfather. We went there four times over two years of PP holidays when the children were younger. It was awful. Fish and chips can be great when the ingredients are fresh and cooked right. This was neither. Went back last year when we decided to buy a spit roast chicken from a supermarket and thought a few Codfather takeaway chips would go down well. Soggy greasy rubbish....sorry.

You can only speak from experience on forums like this, there are places in PP that I really like and they have had poor reviews on here. That is the way it is. If business is good at Codfather then that speaks louder then any complaints I or others might have.
