Eating out

Has Tiberi got a new chef ?
we ate there last week as it is one of our favourites, but the menu had changed slightly. My wife went for stir fry with coconut sauce, not very appealing, looked like a basic stir fry with a whole tin of coconut milk poured over it,didnt taste to good either.I went for chicken with a tomato sauce, which in previous visits has always been really tasty, but this time it was just as if a tin of heinz tomato soup had been heated up with the chicken!
our 2 girls went for spag bol, which was ok,but after that first visit we decided against going back, shame really as it was always worth a couple meals over the holiday, especially with the atmosphere.
TRIO always a firm favourite with us,and true to form,it didnt dissapoint, great value for money, and catherine and danny and all the staff make you feel welcome.
MAKASSAR we both went for lamb chops with honey and rosemary, really tasty ,best meal of the 3 weeks.
CAFE CALVARI in the old town at the bottom of the steps, excelllent tapas and cold beer after walking up the steps and back.
CA'N COSTA in the old town square,we chose the pizza as recommended on the forum, for a starter we had tomato foccacia, but they bought out a pizza then they bought our main meals (pizzas) we couldnt fit them all on the table!
my teenage daughter found it hilarious and promptly took a photo.
food was good ,if a little confusing......staff were sooo busy it took ages for bill to come.
CAFE DAINA had a couple of lunches here, really good value, the sandwiches come with salad and chips, which could be mistaken for a dinner, great place to people watch with a cold beer while the kids go on the internet.
TORRE PLAYA had lunch here at easter which was nice, decided to try dinner this time,my wifes starter was fried crab claws which were great,my croquettes were ok, one of the girls had ribs which were not good, really chewy and dry.main courses were chicken with pepper sauce for the adults which came with one slice of an undercooked baked potato and carrots from a jar and some pickled cabbage, can safely say we wont be eating there again
