Default Buffet at the Daina

Sounds good, can anyone have the buffet at the Daina? Sounds ideal for an easy night.

Default Buffet at Daina

Interested to hear more about this one

We looked at this and considered it a few evenings

Mr Cd was quite keen to try it , thought it would be really nice sitting up on the terrace ...... but I wasn't keen ........ I guess I was a bit concerned that it would resemble one of those hotel buffets where everything looks like it has been sitting in the Bain Marie's forever

So if anyone feels like elaborating on it I'd be really grateful

I know LK the rain here is terrible - so depressing!!! Just glad I have Marbella booked in September kinda wish it was PP instead but the other half wanted somewhere neither of us had been!

The Daina - CD i completely agree with you re half board hotels and food sitting for ages in the ban maries etc but the Daina was lovely and if you get the terrace the views and the atmosphere are great. While I wouldnt do this everynight it was nice for an easy night and well worth the money. We had soup for starters then salad then mains of a choice if fish pork or beef and potatoes etc well worth a try.

We've stayed at the Daina several times, always on a half board deal, but generally only eat there once or twice a week.

For hotel buffet food it's pretty good, but I'm sure you wouldn't expect it to be up there with your favourite PP restaurants - it isn't. Mind you, we stayed in April and one night they produced a Paella that was as good as I've had anywhere. Generally I'd describe the food as "adequate" rather than "memorable".

Having said that, it's good value for what you get.
