Elcano
During this trip we had decided that we would try some new restaurants or some that we had not been to for some time. One of these was Elcano, we had not been here since the late 70's and to be honest the decor may not have changed since then, however we really enjoyed the food which was plain but very tasty, the owner is also very friendly.
On our first visit we had mellon with serrano ham and then beef olives and on the second visit Tuna salad, followed by a beef fondue. It's worth a visit and easy to find, it's near the top of Calle Elcano, which is the street at the side of the Imperial pub. PP76 |
We used to go to El Cano a lot - but the last time was when my daughter was a baby and she's now 12!
I'm so glad to see that it's still doing well - we did talk about going there this year but it's the same old story - too many good places to go, too little time. Maybe next year... Jane:) |
Too late
Just arrived in Puerto Pollensa to hear that Uwe (El Cano owner) sadly passed away from cancer in March this year. Been there many times over the last 15 years and he was a great character.
Rest in Peace |
So sad we had many meals and he was such a friendly guy.
