Default Just back :(

Hi all,

Just thought I would write a post on my hol unfortunately just back!!

As my parents and sis and boyfriend were already there I arrived by myself got my bags and made my way to t he resorthoppa desk and was directed to a coach for my transfer and through a stroke of luck was the first off in PP 45 minutes later! Found Resorthoppa really efficient would def use them again!!

So as I arrived late my first night out for dinner was to Makassar both my parents had steak with and had the chicken stuffed with leeks all very happy and after we went up to the roof terrace for 2 carrajillos and a cortado - so relaxing couldve sat there all evening.

Day two headed to Maxims where we had thai greene curry, seafood risotto and salmon in champagne sauce - I know there have been posts re the service in Maxims but I can not find fault here in the slightest food was great as usual and service was with a smile.

Day three- fish n chips on the balcony from the cod father - cant beat it lol

Day four- out to Pollensa for an evening meal in the Saint Jordi grilled garlic prawns all round - this is for me the highlight of my week - I work in travel and I have stayed many hotels but this is by far one of my favorites especially on a sunday for the bbq and nikki singing unfortunately I missed this year..

Day five - went to the buffet at the Daina Hotel 15 Euro per adult and there was a choice of red meat meat fish chicken and potatoes and all kinds of salads and deserts - great value for money and views of the sea what more would you want!!

Day 6 - we stayed in needed the rest lol

Day 7 - tex mex on the sea front something simple before heading for the flight!

I arrived Friday 01 August and the weather was fab untill Thurs last when it started to get dull and over cast but after such heat we were glad of the break.

I have to say I didnt find the prices in restaurants and bars much different to before other than the euro not stretching as far due the the drop in the rate. But i always have found with pp it can be as expensive or inexpensive as you make it yourself!! I did find one 9minute phone call home made from the Daina in which I was almost charged 22 Euro.

Over all a great hol!!

Just sad to be home!!

Rachel

Good review Rachel, i am glad to hear ResortHoppa was reliable. In May we used Shuttle Direct and they did not pick us up for our return to the airport, we had to get a taxi and they did not repond to my emails when i complained to them. So my advice to other people would be "Don't use them".

Hi Rachel

So Pleased you enjoyed your hols and that Resorthoppa turned out to be a positive experience, we have used them about 6 times and never had cause for complaint, and much less than the taxi fare.

Hi Rachel

Yes sunny NI!

Thanks for the posting. I tried Makassar for the first time in May and really liked it though I have noticed some less favourable reviews posted on it since then. I might well give it another go when we go out next week.

Hi Rachel - was this a dinner or lunch buffet at the Daina and do you have to be staying there or is it available for all? Thanks.
