Default Child friendly restaurants?

Hi,

I've been visiting PP for the last 9 years but when we come out next May, it'll be my first as a parent. I know the Spanish in general, love kids and PP is a very family orientated place but are there any restaurants in the area that either do not allow children or would rather you didn't bring them?

We will be taking our son who will be 16 months old at the time. At the moment he's 6 months old and very well behaved!

Any warnings would be greatly appreciated,

Monty.

I personally don't know of any restaurants that do not welcome children in PP - we've been visiting for 12 years and my daughter was 6 weeks old when we first holidayed there. My son was about 3 when he first went and we still didn't have a problem finding somewhere to eat.

I would hesitate to take very young children to places like Clivia, Ca'n Costa or Cantonet, but that is just a matter of my choice. Stay would also be a difficult option because of the closeness to the water! I haven't been to Siller but not sure whether I would take a young child there.

We would always take plenty for the children to do - books, little jigsaws etc and restaurants bordering the square are always a good choice as there are normally lots of other children running around.

And good luck when he gets to 16 months! I find that babies of 6 months don't tend to run off much!!! It's a whole different ballgame when they get to the toddler stage!!!

Agree, basically its the best time for you to sort out restaurants as you can remember restaurants you have been to as a couple and wouldnt have appreciated young children there.
There are plenty of restaurants that have children running around - usually ones with outdoor space, and couples are happy to be there as well. But as Jane said, there are some where couples really want to go out for an "adult" evening meal, and have sometimes even got in a babysitter to do so, and therefore would not really appreciate having children there.
Thats the great thing about having such a variety of restaurants - something for everyone! - and you know which ones to avoid too!!
