Talking Recent visit to PP good value eating establishments

Having been a regular visitor for over 25 years, thought somebody would read and welcome this posting of some of the establishments we ate at this year - some good some not so good - here goes

Visited the Newely located Tango - food and service as the old tango but location difficult unless you go in a taxi or have a car!! also lacked atmosphere but value for money

Mojito Steakhouse in the square - avoid this like the plaque - totally rubbish, food overpriced and over valued - we had spag bol which was microwaved! t-bone steak which would never have been tender no long how it was cooked - over 100 Euros for the bill - DO NOT VISIT this was our second visit, we visited a couple of years ago and thought we had just hit a bad night, obviously not.

O'Lume - Great food, great value, not much atmosphere but certainly worth a visit if you are in need of some realy good food.

Elo - great for pizzas, never been disappointed here and good value

Niccos just outside of the square - A really good place to visit, far superior to the Dakota Tex Mex which seem to be springing up everywhere, Niccos is freshly cooked and great value, go for a drink in Bony bar first, you will not be disappointed.

Tots - Again great value, basic menu 3 courses but all for 12 euros with drinks, great as a stop gap and catching up on funds!!

Trio (behind the front) this is a sister group to Tango so really not worth travelling all the way there - food equally as good and nearer - give this a try you will not be disappointed.

Mari Carb - On the edge of the Pinewalk - try this for lunch, believe me you will love the flame burgers, not mass produced real quality - this is also good as a 'special' evening meal I bet you cant eat a full steak!!

I could go on and on, if anybody wants any more ideas, priced, ask and I'll reply

If you are about to travel of PP - lucky you, unfortnately we will have to wait until about October for our next fix!!

Corb Mari is the restaurant that you can see the outside tables from the Barnard Hamilton webcam.

Know the Corb Mari, use to eat there when we first started coming to PP in 1998 but then went off of it found the waiters rude and they always stuck us at a table in a corner away from everyone else

Default tots location

Tots is in the pedestrianised bit of Calle Virgen del Carmen, that's the one just back from the sea front off the lane that has tobacconists and a new change bureau at the seafront end and a shoe shop and boutique the other end. Apart from Tots there is a restaurant called Can pancho,Mollie's Cafe and the Taste of India House restaurant in this street
