Default My experience at the Ivy Garden.

Hello all, I would just like to share my experience at the Ivy Garden, where I dined last weekend.

First of all we arrive at the immaculate restaurant, greeted by two very nice waitresses and escorted to our table, situated outside in there lovely “rustic” style terrace.

Then a lovely young man comes to us to take the drinks order and present us with menus (I think his name is Sam, the owners elder son) eventho his dress sence is a bit peculiar he makes the BEST Gin & Tonic in town.

We then proceed to ordering our meal, which proved to be quite a task as there were so many delightful banquets to choose from!

I ended up ordering the fish cakes to start, my wife didn’t want a starter. Needles to say they were lovely. After having a few more gin & tonics our main course arrived. I had the bangers n mash and my wife the chicken saltimbocca. Need I point out, these were no ordinary bangers n mash. The sausages were cooked to perfection by Billy and his team, and the gravy was simply heavenly.

My wife really enjoyed hers as well.

After the meal, I was sitting back and basking in the ambience and low and behold, my favourite song comes on “Woke Up This Morning” by Alabama 3. What a terrific end to the night.

Unfortunately we had no room for desert, and shall be visiting again soon to try the chocolate moose!

The whole experience was incredible, the staff were so helpful and kind, the atmosphere was so laid back, and of course, the food was amazing. Not to mention the G`n´Ts!!!!

I would recommend you give it a try, if you haven’t already.
