We're due in Pollensa this Aug for our third trip and have eaten at LFDG several times each stay and do not recognise what you say about the service at all....however...that's the thing which will stick in your mind if it goes pear-shaped I agree.

In defence of LFDG we eat there regularly with 2 kids, 13 M and 10 F with all the hassles that that combo brings and the service has always been just right ....from booking table outside to suit us, to leisurely table service and they are always very helpful with the kids "individual needs"!! I guess they at LFDG read this forum so.....note to self about always looking to improve etc etc

I read your post,sorry it turned out so bad!

For 1st class service and excellent food,when in Pollenca goto Il gardino or La pasada de Ariant,you find nothing to complain about there!

Just got back and everything is just getting ready for summer,lovely!

Where is this La font de Gall restaurant that you speak of?

Monty - To find La Font de Gall you go up through the top of the main square (next to the church), through a wiggly bit and come to a little opening where there is an old water font, they are there.

I am just back from PP and whilst we didn't eat at LFDG this time we have always found it excellent.

However, I did eat at Il Gairdino and the service was very poor so I wouldn't agree with the poster above. Bonyslad posted just before I left and mentioned the service at Il Gairdino and I was surprised as it has alays been good in the past.
