Elaine,

No it's still under the old management but I ran into little Al ( the waiter) a few times when I was in the port. They had been very quiet despite opening in March and he wasn't due to join them until the end of April. Believe they have stopped doing the four course ( port + cheese) meal of the day cos a) it ain't cheap and b) people often struggle with it so I think it's only a la carte now.

Hope this helps

Yes it's still the same old team running Can Pacienci. It used to be our favourite restaurant in the area but the last couple of times we've been there our meals were interrupted by drunk people having a sing song, in particular a very drunk ageing blonde woman with an extremely high pitched voice. It's a shame.

Huh???

We're planning to go back in August as it's always been a favourite - we call it the "Yellow Canary" in our house because of the sign.

We've had some great meals there but haven't been for a while and want to make amends this year. We always had the set menu so it'll be interesting to sample the new a la carte.

I'd love to hear more reviews...

Default C'an Pacienci

Last year when they put in the new a la carte menu in place we were worried some of our favourites would no longer be available. However it is the same menu but you can now just choose how many courses you want ! If you still want the full 3 course plus cheese board you can do so. Last year we saw no change in food quality and enjoyed it as much as we usually did.

We are looking forward to another visit in June.

I know people who were there only last week so I am sure they will let us know how they enjoyed it.

Star.

We had yet another wonderful meal in C'an Pacienci last week.
It's top of our list, rapidly followed by C'an Costa And Clivia who as usual were both also excellent.

Default Update on Ca'n Pacienci

I went to Ca'n Pacienci last night. It was a good as ever and I have been going for nearly 30 years. Dudley has not been well but the restaurant is being run by his daughter and the Chef and ofcourse Alfonso is still there to make you welcome.

The menu is the same and the food delicious, te old favourites such as Duck in Orange and Suckling Pig are still on the menu and are as good as ever.

It really is worth a visit, we celebrated my wife's birthday there, as we have many family birthdays over the years. You can't fault it

Graham

I've been going to c'an pacienci for years but gave it a miss this time. It's not that the food isn't good because it is, and it's a nice setting but it's the only restaurant in the area where I never feel totally relaxed. Don't know why.
