Brisa Marina is indeed opposite the marina and is one ot the best value restaurants in PP, in my opinion.

Try the paella.....the best in the port?

Hi,
Just got back last week ( Monday ) and noted that Nico's ( far better mexican than any of the Dakota outlets ) are now doing a Meal Deal.
16 euro's, which included a good choice of the more expensive starters, main courses including a delicious lamb and cous cous dish. desserts, and a drink.
All in all a good discount on what these dishes would usually cost if ordered off the menu.
( Still can't beat the spicy chicken wings though )

Top corner of the square by the church. Set meal in evening for 18 euros. Choice of 5 starters - 5 main courses - 5 puddings and includes bread and olives, water and decent bottle of wine per two people. Very good value....as good a fritto and seafood fritto as I've had anywhere and the 'crema catalunya' (?sp) is excellent. Generous main course portions.

Update on set menus(sept.08)

Trio is now 16 euros. As Bon Profit has now closed they have joined with a chef from Stay and opened in the square at the side of the church calling itself Can' Andreu and their set menu is 18 euro with an excellent choice of menu, free wine and water.A little inexperienced waiter wise and a bit noisy as in the square but good value. Also noticed, that as the "crunch" is biting PP more restauarants are coming out with a fixed menu.

Why not pass onto Jane and get here to include them in her post.

There is already a lengthy thread on Ca'n Andreu - see http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/...a-nandreu.html if you'd like to comment more on this restaurant.

This current thread provides a good summary of places that offer an Evening Set Meal. So if anyone has any more updates on prices, places that haven't already been mentioned in this thread, do add them HERE.

Thanks.:)

Hotel Daina

Last year whilst in PP we had the set menu at Hotel Daina for 15 euros. This was a buffet and you could eat as much as you liked. Drinks were extra. All in all a very nice meal. The meal was taken on their first floor terrace restaurant with lovely views over the bay. :)

Can anyone add any of the restaurants in the old town which have MDDs?

Will we be starting a 2009 thread?

Thanks,

Lala

Thanks for the post Lala, I've now added the new thread http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/...us-2009-a.html & am retiring this one.
