You are right Gina and Rangers - we all look for something different don't we?

I must confess I have never set foot in any of these types of places in PP - the Irish Bars, English Bars, Scottish, Welsh and Kazakhstani bars (if there are any! ) so I am not qulaified to judge how good they are or not.

It's just a personal choice but I prefer a nice pre-dinner drink at the Miramar watching the world go by, or a glass of cava at the Illador gazing out accross the bay, or maybe in the Bar Cultural with the colourful locals and lethal measures - and the end of the night? Usually Bony's for the banter and Jose's tricks on the kids.

I like being outside in the fresh air and no amount of giant beer cans or dancing girls will attract me into these places. That's not why I go to PP - if I wanted theme bars I'd be checking out Magalluf.

But as you say each to their own - variety is the spice of life. I just wish that the frontage was a little less obtrusive. I want PP to stay as pretty as it is.

Rangers - look forward to hearing your feedback after your trip - have a great holiday.

Gina.

I'm sorry. Didn't think for a mo that anyone living on this planet would try to forge a tenuous link between my tongue in cheek post on what , I consider to be an eyesore, and an alleged denigration of the great australian support to Britain over the years. Well done !!!!!

Just because I'd rather spend five minutes licking a urinal than drinking a can of Fosters, it don't mean I dislike em in anyway.

Course there ain't any true Aussies around cos it's all part of the Tex Mex Empire and , in my opinion, a cynical commercial ploy to cash in on some current bar fad.

Don't care where anyone spends their Euros, I know where I'll spend mine.

When you see old Mir, ask him what he did in the war ?

I am now closing the post as I feel that we've had enough opinions representing all opinions and I do not want it to deteriorate in the way that previous posts have & I'm sure you all remember those. I do know that a lot of people feel very strongly about these new places but I don't think thee is anything more that can be said in this post.

The new bar is obviously now in place and has been pointed out you can choose where to spend your very expensive Euros.

So come on guys carry on recommending places that you've been to recently & can recommend to others.

Thank You!
