Default Oh Noooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't believe it !!!!!!!!!!

Just back from my early morning constitutional along the Pine Walk and lo and behold there is a garish totem pole lying on the beach with a few guys with spades having their post breakfast ciggies. Further along I meet another three dragging this fibreglass bison as big as a ruddy elephant over the cobbles past the Bahai. "Where's the empty restaurant, mate " ( In spanish I must add ) they ask me .

Somebody said there would be a fourth !!!!

Straight off to the Town Hall to find out what is going on .

will keep you posted

Had me going! Have rumbled most of the April fool headlines/emails etc so far, but this one would have flown over me!! "You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but you cant fool all of the people all of the time!"

HAD me going there for a minute too. The fourth (if I have been told honestly) is not on the pine walk.

Perhaps the 4th one is right outside Mr Tex Mexs' front door I rather doubt it, though! What would his neighbours think!

Very good Bonyslad - Thank goodness it was only a April Fool!! Having said that, could it happen?? Heaven forbid!! There is more than enough of them now!!
I am bringing my sister and husband for their first time and I am getting a little worried about all the changes I am reading about - am I going to see lots of changes since last May!!?? Is their much building work going on in the centre of things? Does it look too awful at Hotel Daina? I so want them to love the place that I am always raving about!! I am sure the magic is still there!!
Thanks for keeping us up-to-date with Bar Katy - fingers still crossed!

Favie,

Don't fret too much cos although there is a lot of infilling development going on ( Tango's, old Mojito site etc) it ain't too obtrusive. Loads of people enjoying a drink in the sunshine on the Daina terrace still. By the time you come the storm drainage work should all be finished as well.

Favie

I'm just back

Yes there is a lot of building and especially around the Diana but it's really not that bad

Which is more than I can say about the 3rd .......... somehow it offends me much more than the 2nd ........ its more "in your face" .............. full of people though

I brought a friend of mine for her first visit ............. didn't say a word .......... we approached from pine walk, she didn't bat an eyelid at the 2nd but exclaimed at how out of place the third looked

Mustn't let it get me down though but for gods sake can someone not open a nice little authentic tapas bar in Katy's

Favie,

Just to give you further reassurance, walked past the Tango site earlier. They have constructed a breezeblock wall around the whole development and were plastering it this p.m. Reckon it will be snowcemmed in a couple of days. Obviously part of the planning condition to conceal the development as far as possible from the tourist season particularly as it's so central.

Very encouraging
