Default Beach bars

Just saw on another thread that the beach concessions don’t seem to be open yet. Mama Bird and I are huge fans of Embat and Llaut and were really hoping for drinks there when we arrive in a fortnight. Does anyone know if they’re likely to be open after Easter?

If they are not, Sea.Bar.IS is open. We went yesterday and great views across the beach and bay. It’s a family favourite.

I'm sure La Roca said that they are opening soon. I will have a look when I go down later to see what activity there is.

My Mum and Dad are out there currently and have been told by a girl they know working in one of the bars that there won't be any beach bars this year or beds? This doesn't feel like it can be true and maybe my Dad misunderstood be it would be interesting to know if anyone else has heard this at all?

Update - so my mum emailed Grupo Embat to ask and they said this:

Thank you very much for contacting us! We regret to inform you that at the moment we are unable to open the beach bars, as the city council has not granted the concessions to the operators to open the beach bars in Puerto Pollensa.
We hope they will do so in the near future, but we do not know the opening dates.

What is up with the council?! It’s like they don’t want businesses to succeed.

When I try to open MDB website they now appear to require a fee of E0.50 per 24 hours for access. Is this new?
