Default Capri

I was reading on FB earlier that the Capri Hotel have lost their licence to have seating and tables on their jetty. Apparantly (reading between the lines) they didn't sign the necessary paperwork in time, so now have to wait until next year to re-apply.

Seems a bit crazy, but also deprives the Port of one of, if not THE most idyllic places to seat and eat on a summer evening. Very disappointing.

We had many a lovely lunch on their jetty

Anybody heard any news whether the 'licence' problems re the jetty at the Capri Hotel have been sorted for the coming season, or is it too early to say?. It was so sad to see such a favourite of ours being bare of any tables and chairs last year, whilst several of the staff were actually very emotional in conversation about it. Let's hope it has

Indeed....it doesn't always get great reviews for its food and service, but Ive not had a bad experience there, so hoping its back to normal this year.

I read on FB that Capri may still be having problems with using their pontoon again this year. Not only that, but Cappucchino has also got a problem with their waterside area. Something about the Costas now having responsibility for these areas and moving the goal posts!

Meanwhile:

We were chatting to a local restaurant worker recently. He told us the Capri & other establishments weren’t allowed to use the jetties this year. Also mentioned they were going to be permanently removed. Time will tell.

Oh! That would be a shame. Such a lovely area to sit in and enjoy the view with a nice drink.
