Sparrow Dining and Bar is sadly now closed permanently. The owners of the building are not renewing the lease because they want to change it's use.

However the good news is that Lorna and Pepe will be moving to Ikebana next year , wishing them all the luck in the world .

That's sad news and good news all in one.
Good fit for the Ikebana.
Very best of luck indeed.

Thanks Lynn. It's so sad they've had to close, we didn't even have chance to try it there

Great news that they're starting afresh at Ikebana though, so we'll look forward to going there next year.

Wishing them all the very best for their exciting new venture.

Look forward to having a "Sparrow's" breakfast at Ikebana. Great Black Pudding!!
Will be good sitting outside under the trees listening to their entertainment, could be in stereo with Golden Lion.

Little Italy Closing

Really sad to announce that Little Italy is permanently closing. It really was a special place and IMO did the best pastas and pizzas in the Port. They definitely had one of the most enviable positions with stunning views across the bay.

I am gutted and will miss dreadfully the wonderful lunches and evenings spent there with friends and family and all the lovely staff

Default So Sad

Its just so sad to read this. It is such a landmark on the Pinewalk .
Hopefully when we are all through the worst of this terrible time it can re-open as a restaurant again.

That is sad news - it was one of those 'iconic' restaurants on Pine Walk and so beautifully situated

wow that is a shock, but I think there will be a queue of people keen to take it on as a new restaurant. If I was in the business, I'd love to have that spot.

Blimey!! That's like saying that Puerto Pollensa is closing for good.

I well remember watching the Football World Cup Final there the night that Italy won it, and the next morning they had covered all the interior walls with Italian newspaper front pages! To be honest, after all these years it really is the last place that I would have imagined closing. Shame!! Will be very sadly missed - as you said Rosie34 "Iconic"!!
