I heard a rumour a while ago that the Australian bar was being sold, as you know i don't listen too much to gossip but the bar is being revamped and the Fosters signs have gone, so watch this space .

When we were out last September we noticed that this bar was shut and appeared to be run down from previous visits. We always thought that it was associated with the bar opposite as the staff appeared to work at both.

Yes Miller, they are both part of the Boulevard group (Dakota) .

Apparently the Australian Bar is going to be run by a chap called Marcelo, who used to work for Ca Ses Monges, next to Los Faroles.

Jose (Bonys) has told me tonight that the bar will be called "Meraky" .

Marcelo...Great family guy who worked in a café on Monument Square in Pollensa, then in Marcs Restaurant in the Port amonst others... Give him your support in this new venture.

Default Mulligan's.

Sad news, Mulligan's will be closing down permanently in 3 weeks time .

The owner of the building has decided not to renew the lease because apparently they want to re-develop the site.

Such a shame as this was the only British run bar in the port to remain open all year round and they also supported live music .

That is sad news indeed, but aren't there any other empty place they could reopen?
