Default Senior Waiter at Stay

Wonder if anyone can help me with this information. We have been visiting this restaurant several times a year for nearly a decade. One of our favourite waiters was suffering last year with a throat/voice problem and he was undergoing treatment. When we saw him today he was helping out with bar duties as obviously he is struggling with vocal communication. The thing is we have never known him by name. He looks a fairly ageless man with a sweet smile, serene in manner, balding and the sort of waiter that you would have total confidence in. I’m sure some regulars on the Forum will know him by name. Thanks.

He lives near us, his voice thing has been going on for 2 to 3 years now.

He has a had at least a couple of operations, but unfortunately, it never seems to get better.

A charming man.

Jesus came to my assistance last year when I had an accident. Not only did he give immediate first aid, he drove me to the PAC clinic at Pollensa and made sure my wife was OK.

For those who are interested.

Jesus had an operation on his throat last year.

He is feeling much better but his voice is still not strong.

Despite that, he is back working at Stay regularly.

We too have spoken to Jesus over the last 2 years or so, and although it's a long process, he seems to be holding up well. I think he works every day for the daytime service but not in the evenings (?)
He is a lovely man

We met up again with Jesus when we visited the Port last weekend. He was working on administrative tasks at the restaurant. A delightful man with such an engaging smile and to be welcomed by him in such a sincere manner is a real pleasure.

I’m so pleased to hear that. We hadn’t seen Jesus for ages and wondered if his problem was really serious. He’s such an engaging and professional man. Good to hear good news for a change!
