I've never tried Plaza Uno either and don't really know why!
We like Corb Mari for steak or one of their Brochetta's (kebabs) and also Naciente for his steak that you sizzle yourself on a hot stone.
Yummmmmm!!

In my opinion, Brisa Marina has the tenderest, tastiest Fillet Steak in PP. I always ask for mine rare.....and that’s how it always comes.

My recommendation would be the Japones cut at Plazo Uno -
31 is excellent for fillet steak but I’ve only ever had steak there once (March this year before Plazo Uno had opened for the year) – sadly, every other visit I’ve not had the steak at 31 as I’ve already has 1 steak at Plazo Uno & planning the next one! Tuna Tartare at Plazo Uno is also highly recommended but it’s a failry big portion for a starter – so bring a big appetite. Owner/head waiter Sergio may be familiar to you as he used to work at La Llonja – and he’ll certainly sort you out with an excellent bottle of wine to compliment the food.

El Posito steaks are also great - but I mainly have fish there too .... unless Toni tells me to have meat ! :-)

Tierra del Fuegos is fantastic. We were there at Easter and the quality of meat was really high. Great atmosphere too as well the super cheerful staff.

I have not tried it myself but I have heard good reports on Brass y Vino - the new Argentinian restaurant where El Messon was. They grill over an open fire.

I agree, the meat at Plaza 1 is excellent, especially the Japones cut as mentioned above. One can’t go wrong at the Corb Mari, Na Ruixa, Stay and Can Josep either.

Probably one of the best though was at La Vall, whose owners sister is married to the owner of the excellent butcher across the road, who learnt his trade at the famous but now closed butchers in Pollensa town run by the Enseņat family.

For an above average T bone at an excellent price, I don’t think one can beat the ones served at Borras, cooked, or better said grilled, by Julio who is originally from Argentina.

His wife, who works at the Yacht Club restaurant agrees !

Thumbs up

Yes Hostal Borras is great too. Forgot about that one. We are so lucky how many good places there are.

Loads of places in PP will have a steak on their menu but the skill is in working out where serves the best steak but that is cooked to your liking.
If you like it well done then go anywhere as any flavour and tenderness will have been cooked out of the meat. I love mine medium rare so for a steak cooked that way my top 3 are......
3rd Los Faroles
2nd Nico's now Marc's
1st Centric

20 days to go......

I have noticed that the ports interpretation of "rare" to "well done" may vary from your UK experience.
I have had in the past "are you sure" responses when I've asked for "rare"
Don't be afraid to ask for your steak to be cooked a bit more if it's not to your liking!
Obviously this does not work in reverse!!

Enjoy.
