Default Restaurant/bar with the elephant outside

La punt??

I see it’s being worked on just now. I can’t remember it ever being open apart from very briefly about 6 years ago or is my mind playing tricks?

Anyway, does anyone remember it being open, what is was, how it was etc etc.

It’ll be interesting to see what it opens as and how it’ll do.

I think it would be in the 80’s? It was a very good Italian restaurant it then had various owners in between periods of being closed.

I think it has been open more recently than the 80s. Maybe the 90s or even early 00s as a chill out bar.

My memory of it goes back to the 70s when it was a good French restaurant from memory - Petit Paris?

Petit Paris was an excellent little restaurant just down the same street towards the port. Fond memories for me 1989....95,thereabouts.

Happy memories of Petit Paris - late 80’s. The Buddha Bar in the late 80’s was a great restaurant called Ca’n Pepe’s- Majorcan food at its best. These were the days when Avenida Paris was a mud road!

Indeed!

Back in the 80s, and maybe into the 90s, the place with the elephant was a rather nice restaurant called C'an Pepe (or Pep).

C'an Pep was lovely restaurant. Great traditional food. I seem to remember it was on different levels and there was lots of dark wood?

I remember Avenida de Paris being a mud road! I used to wear contact lenses then and walking down the road in the evenings used to be a nightmare with the dust blowing about

In the 80's when we loved Petit Paris, we stayed at Galeon when it was a 1 star hostel, rustic but fabulous spot...before man made beach! Then I started earning some good money and migrated to Sis Pins but still went back along the bay in the evenings to eat at Pepe's Llenaire restaurant and later he converted the little house at the rear where a dear old lady had lived to the Suirell.
Happy days, where did all the time go??? to quote Sandy Denny!!

This has now re-opened as a restaurant and has gone back to the name of Can Pep, i am told it will specialise in meat .
