Default Upmarket Restaurants

With the sad loss of Argos, from a quality not quantity perspective, is there an upmarket restaurant that I might not have visited in Port de Pollença? Perhaps we can use amazO as a benchmark for fine dining?

Suggestions?

Indeed. Also nice for lunch indoors when it's a bit too hot. Good service.

Is the restaurant which does mostly organic and quite experimental food still open? - was it called Terrae? I must confess I haven't eaten there but the menu always looked interesting. Not in the Port, but Fogoneu in the old town is good, especially the tasting menu.

Yes Kate, I went past Terrae today It was open offering 4 or 7 course tasting menus and some other interesting dishes. Is Fogoneu one of Giovanni’s (ex Centric) restaurants in Pollensa?

The restaurant at Hotel Llenaire has some unusual dishes and you can’t beat the view on the terrace at sunset. Special evenings but can be pricey.

Thank you for your suggestion. I've not eaten there! I'll look forward to trying it out.

If you email the hotel they email you a copy of the menu.
It has some unusual dishes though, which is always something you want to try when on holiday. Last summer the chef(sorry but her name has slipped my mind) from the gorgeous long lost Siller Restaurant was cooking there. It was spectacular.

It is indeed a fabulous restaurant and the views from the terrace cannot be beaten. Perfect venue for a special occasion!
When you say the chef from restaurant Siller do you mean Katy, Manolo's wife? I though she had retired but if it is her she is an amazing chef so we will definitely be visiting Llenaire again very soon

We went twice for lunch a few years ago and on both occasions the food was poor, but the setting is really lovely. If they have a new chef we will definitely give it a another try.
