Moll de Bellagio restaurant in Calle Llevant
We always try to eat in somewhere 'new to us' each time we're in Puerto Pollensa.
Last night we tried Moll de Bellagio (where the Codfather used to be) at 14 Calle Llevant.
They have an 11 euros weekday set menu at lunchtime and a la carte in the evenings. The set menu on Sunday lunchtimes is 15 euros. The food is advertised on the menu as 'cucina Mediterranea' so not specifically Italian but they do have a wood burning pizza oven.
We had two glasses of fizz, olives & aïoli & à basket of home made bread, two delicious plates of tagliatelle with Bolognese & mixed mushroom sauce & two desserts - oh and a nice bottle of house Rioja. All for 44.50 euros. Great value & friendly efficient service too. The decor is very pleasant too. Def worth a visit & handy to know it's open for lunch & dinner every day of the week. You can book on 971868205 if you fancy going.

I had a look in the last two weekends but there was nobody in dining at all and being on my own decided not try it but I have my daughter out this weekend so we will give it a try then.
I do hope they get enough custom to make it work. Good to hear they have a wood burning oven.

Hope you have a great meal there with your daughter. There is nothing better than when family visits.

Thanks for this report Lorenzo as this restaurant is just across the road from our apartment.
It opened just as we were returning home so didn't get a chance to try it.
We will be out again during the winter months, so hope that they are able to stay open as it will be handy to have this place on our doorstep.

Popped into Moll de Bellagio again last night just for a drink.
We spotted one of the local restaurant owners in there again, eating with his children. It's the third time we've seen him eating in there so he must be pretty satisfied with the food & service too.

Have dined at Bellagio three times in the past fortnight. There are very few restaurants open at this end of town in the winter and their decision to open over the winter has been a godsend to us. W have been impressed by the quality of the food, wine, service and value.
They are currently doing an 11 euro set lunch - three courses (with choices), glass of beer, wine or water. All the pasta is made on the premises and they produce some interesting variations on the normal Italian dishes.
The co-owners used to be a Portofino restaurant and the pizzas at Bellagio are equally as good.
The restaurant has been very busy of the holiday period - on a couple of occasions we couldn't get a table but is much quieter now.
With their large open patio at the back this is going to be a very popular place in the summer.

After reading this we will try here when we are next out. We tend to pas this one on our way out or on our way to a different restaurant. Need to have a try because reviews seem so positive and prices are great 👍

We have tried Bellagio three times now, always of a night time, the portions are large both starters and main course. The mussels are excellent and lots of them.

El Gordo
They originally planned to open for lunch and evening service 7 days a week. I spoke to Andreas the co-owner last week and they have had to acknowledge that they need a day off each week. At the moment this is on Mondays.

We had an excellent Menu del Dia there for lunch. Looking at their previous menus on Facebook it seems to consist of a choice of soup, salad or pasta to start, followed by meat or fish main, dessert or coffee, and drink for 11 eur. Today's choice was goat's cheese salad, macaroni or courgette soup, steak (excellent!) with pepper sauce or hake with salsa verde. Quality of the food was very good and we'll definitely go back one evening.
Meanwhile they are closing 4-17 Feb for a trip home to Italy followed by some renovations to the patio.
