In July, mid-evening, we couldn't get into several restaurants 'on spec' including Can Ferra and Brisa Marina. We often saw people turned away from places where we did get spaces.

We tend not to book because plans can change and prefer to eat late (Spanish-style). Then there's usually space but now fewer of the restaurants seem to keep serving.

If you know where you want to go I don't see the harm in booking anyway. I'm still feeling my way around so happy to experiment.

Enjoyed my first suckling pig at Onze the other night.

Still not had a crepe though from the place at the Calvari steps...

We're here at the moment and have been booking a table, I enjoy knowing where I'm going and thinking ahead of what I'd like to have, we have our favourite places for sucking pig, tapas style meals and Paella

It was the excitement of becoming a member of the forum, although having slipped over trying to be cool playing football with a local last night of the front just past the Miramar, I could do with some oinkment
