Default Sol y Mar Grill and Terrace

Has anyone been yet to the new Sol Y Mar Grill and Terrace? Looks lovely from the pictures and food plentiful it seems. Best of luck to the new owners

Due to arrive tomorrow Bekki, will give it a try. The new owner has a LOT to live up to considering that Leo and Anna had 30 year of experience in the business.
I will give a posting.

The new owners are from "Little Italy" so they have quite a few years experience in the trade .

Yes it's Rafa and Caril who are the new owners. Two brilliant men who are going to put their heart and soul into this venture.

Hi Bekki, I have visited Sol You Mar and can report back that they have set their target to a more three course meal. For example Leo and Anna would do Mussels and chips or Sardines, salad and chips at lunch time we have a menu more set for an evening meal.

I was quite surprised as Leo and Anna carried their menus through from the El Ancla to the Sol You Mar and it was always busy.

So if you are a fish person you can go around the corner for sardines, chips and salad at the Ikebana for 6 euros.

Walk into it today at 12:00 and past it at 1:20 their was one customer, it's early in the season but there are plenty of good restaurants of this kind but not many who deal with everybody and provide, snack, or full blown meal.

Bekki, went back to Ikebana today past Sol Y Mar there was two people eating here, at Ikebana four sets of people two tourists and two sets of locals.

It's early days yet but we had hot chicken Baguette with chips and salad for 6 euro each, with a drink.

Sol Y Mar had a lunchtime only specials board out advertising Spanish omelette, this is also advertised at the restaurant opposite.

We also visited Bodiguta in the evening it was heaving, unfortunately Barca were playing Villeria so very noisy, probably try again at lunchtime.
