Default Bonys......I don't get it

Never have, probably never will. Crowded like sardines, silly signs, dear bevvy, Bony throwing sweets about the place (does he still do that?). Nah, not for me.

What do posters think he brings to PP?

It’s the sort of place that people who like that sort of place would like!

Personally I’m with you on that one.

Funny that you judge the place but have never been there, and no he doesn’t still throw sweets, he hasn’t done that for years.
The fact he is full every night must mean he is doing something right and that people are happy to pay his prices, although they are not that bad with happy hour and the massive size of his measures.
People are happy and create lovely holiday memories there and one look at his FB page will show you how many love him and the bar and how much it is a special part of thier holidays, you can’t begrudge that can you?

Where did I say I had never been in? I have plenty of times. I think the quality of his lager is poor.

I don’t begrudge anyone anything, I’m merely giving my own opinion.

Well, here we go again......this subject has been discussed many times in the past and i just hope it doesn't become a slanging match as it has before , do post your views but please keep it friendly.

Hoopy, you might not get it and that's your right but the fact is many people do get it and i suppose that's why it has been successful for so many years .

Jose is such a hard working and kind man. We are neighbours of his and although we don't frequent the bar that often he has helped us numerous times - from lending sky boxes when ours blew up to helping and supporting when my Mum died suddenly in the Port.
Whatever people think, the square would not be the same without him!

Just to clear the old name, I’ve been too but it’s not my cup of tea. The fact that many people do get it I think resulted in some enforced downsizing by the local authorities last year. I hope there’s room for everyone who wants to go there this summer.

My answer is its a great place, to meet, chat, people watch and generally enjoy what goes on in the square. We don't go every night but we always go once or twice during our holiday and we enjoy it, our holiday wouldn't be the same with a trip to Bonys. In the same way as we eat in traditional and less traditional restaurants we like also a choice of traditional and less traditional places to have a drink.
And when they were young my children LOVED chasing after the sweet Jose would throw!!!

"Variety" and "Choice" are important features of any resort, whether that is style or price.
"Something for every one".

"Opinion" is personal. Including mine!!

We wish Bony (and all the other businesses) a successful season, health and happiness.

Two things certain in life they say, Death and tax. Wrong !
Just like the seasons you can bet bonys will turn up at some point.
I've lost count of how many times this has come up over the years.

So here I go again parrot esk.
Whether you love it or hate it, one fact that can be proven is the atmosphere it brings to the square.

Don't believe me, well just walk around there when it's closed and the other places are still open.
I rest my case.

I'll just save this post until the subject comes around again and it will

Hold the front page.
I think Hoopy is on a wind up.

Really. That begs the question , Why then, have you been plenty of times.?

Well cos when I'm on a family holiday it isn't all about me and what I like or don't like.

Sometimes in life, like we all do I go with the flow.
