Default A restaurant for gourmets

For those of you who don't mind travelling, we have found a fabulous restaurant in Caimari, which is a tiny village north of Inca on the Ma 2130.

It is basically a large house where they provide an 11 course tasting menu for €50 (excluding drinks). The food was exceptional and served with enthusiasm. Wine is reasonably priced considering the type of place - €20-30 per bottle.

The chef was featured on a TV programme in Europe and Michelle Obama dined there on her recent visit to Mallorca.

Parking in Caimari is difficult, but there is a small parking area as you pass out through the village which is a 5 minute walk.

If you dont mind the drive it is well worth a visit. The restaurant is small and basic but the terrace is very pleasant. Booking is absolutely essential - we booked 2 months in advance.

It can be found on TripAdvisor.

This sounds wonderful and looks it too ( just had a gander at their website)
11 courses would probably be too much for me but see they do a 6 course menu for 28€

I love these little restaurants where the owners welcome you into their homes like Mare Nostrum ( Sa Pobla) and Maria Salinas (Mancor de la Vall)

Definitely one for the 'to go to' list 😄

The 11 courses includes various types of bread, and all portions are small, so it is not as much as it sounds
