Default Gin and slimline tonic

Hello Everyone

I've been holidaying in PP for some years now. Always enjoy going out to all the wonderful restaurants and bars.

We will be back again for Easter. I have recently joined Slimming World and have decided that drinking copious amounts of cava will not be good for my new diet plan. Instead, I have started (moderately!) drinking gin and slimline tonic (fewer calories/syns).

I've never taken any notice of tonic before. Can anyone tell me if SLIMLINE/LIGHT tonic is readily available in bars and restaurants.

I know it sounds petty but I don't want to spoil all my hard work!!

Thank you

Schweppes is far the best for dieters. Fevertree, which has become increasingly popular in bars, despite being "light" actually has a carbohydrate content, which is converted to glucose by the body.

Hannah, go easy on the slimline tonic , it plays havoc with your health. Just substitute it with extra Gin

Hannah

I find it really difficult to get tonica light in bars and restuarants and I ask everywhere I go. The only place I have found it is the Miramar.
You can get it in the supermarkets although even that is hit and miss and often only available in the Summer.
I'd much rather use the calories saved from the slimline tonic to have another Gin!!

Thank you for all your replies.

Perhaps I'll just concentrate on the gin and stop worrying about the tonic. I will be on holiday after all!!

Or maybe I'll just stick with Cava!

Not really understanding the problem here? I always have slimline gin. Sort of balances things out?
