Default Birthday Celebrations

Hi, I am looking for somewhere for a special birthday celebration for around 20 to 25 people in September. Ideally it would have some outside space for drinks and chatting, either a roof terrace, courtyard or just a good view. And then be somewhere we could eat in a semi private area! Does anyone know if Stay would do a something like that, maybe giving us a corner and tapas! Or do any of the restaurants in town have pretty private areas. We visit a lot but I just can't think of anywhere. Our backup plan had been Tango because there's lots of space and we loved the people. Of course they're isn't a view and now it has closed! It's for a young at heart 50 year old. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Many thanks

The courtyard garden at Portofino (old O Lume) could be a possibility. Or Marina Brasserie has a separate area to the left of the main restaurant which they promote for events.

If you don't mind going out of the Port a little then Can Cuarassa (sister restaurant of Stay) on the Alcudia Road has various areas and is more likely to be able to give you what you want than Stay.

Totally agree with Marilyn about Ca'n Cuarassa being a good place for your celebrations. Always helpful and great food. Lovely gardens and pleasant interiors with views over the road to the bay.
Also think Portofino may be worth a shot. Small courtyard but no views. Could be pleasant for a get together. Back room that opens onto courtyard quite charming. Could be less expensive than Stay/CC.
Have a wonderful celebration anyway!

Although doesn't have the outside space I would recommend Ca'n Josep. along the coast road not far from Can Curassa

Likewise Ca'n Josep. What it lacks in outside space is made up and more by the view and the staff who are exceptionally well trained and friendly. Then of course there is Josep himself, the perfect mine host!

Last summer we attended a very nice private party in the courtyard of the Tapas Tree Restaurant.
The service and food was excellent

We will, thank you Overthehill! Thank you for all your suggestions. Does anyone know if the Tapas Tree is still going, Google suggests it is closed!

What about la longa upstairs terrace and dining area ...... friends of ours considered it for a wedding ..... didn't use it in the end but they were willing to offer them exclusive use at a good per head rate during September ..... they were talking about between 40 and 50 people though

FYI - They've changed name to "PATIO AT 49" and recently published a new menu on their Facebook page - I only had a quick look earlier this morning but they seem to have moved to a more à la carte menu format rather than tapas... still had some great sounding dishes !

The Yacht Club has a lovely outdoor terrace - it might be possible to book this, or a section of it? Last time we were there they appeared to have recently catered for a party as there was a small marquee out there. The food is pretty good too. I'd also definitely recommend La Llonja if you can book their upstairs terrace - amazing views. Or Brisa Marina? - the views aren't quite as good but I know they cater for weddings etc on a small scale and it's very attractive inside.
